Jame and Matt live in Oak Park Illinois which is an Urban village bordering the city of Chicago about 10 miles West of downtown. We've lived here for 14 years.

Oak Park is considered to be one of the more successful urban locations in Chicago in terms of a culturally diverse population. In other terms: this means we have both Black people and White and our kids go to school together and we generally work at understanding our differences and making something of them. Unfortunately this has made Oak Park a popular place to live in the last 10 years. In general the population is not poor but we do live next to fairly poor neighbor hoods and we try not "be haters". We try for the urban hip-hop ethic of "I feel ya".

Since we live in a diverse urban community we are interested in diverse urban music. Yo "Hip Hop". Hip Hop in our opinion is the most "educational" oriented music going plus the added bonus of generally catchy beats. Our intent is to discover and spread the most Jawesome (or most appropriate messages).

Jame is a white/oriental 43 year old Male who grew up before Hip Hop really hit the scene and only recently caught on to the above. He's trying to figure it out and trying to catch up.

Matt grew up and in fact has spent his whole life in this environment and doesn't seem to think there is much to catch onto. He brings his friends and his opinions to help out the cause.

Other up and coming guest MCs have included MizzL, Aubrie, Alex, Dr Dredl
